When terrorist groups like ISIS storm through regions killing innocent men, women, and children, they grab lives–and news headlines.
But what happens five or ten years later?
The headlines disappear–and communities do too, unless we act.
Once the fighting is over, terrorists leave towns, homes, businesses, and places of worship bullet-ridden, blown up, and destroyed. Families from persecuted religious minorities find they have no shelter, no medicine, no food, and no way to provide for their family.
The life they once enjoyed is gone.
Despite their hardships these individuals are true to their faith. They are resilient and hopeful for a better future. They carry themselves with pride and dignity.
