In Northeast Syria, years of war have left hospitals in ruins, families displaced, and communities struggling to survive.
In Hasakah, ethnic and religious minorities have sought refuge after fleeing their homes in Afrin, Homs, Latakia, and cities across Syria due to rising sectarian violence. However, access to food and medical care is scarce, and healthcare workers are stretched beyond their limits without the proper tools.
In May 2025, Shai Fund completed a humanitarian airlift to support the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. This shipment, totaling over 69,000 pounds of critical aid, brought food aid, medical and surgical supplies, and mobility equipment. More so, it brought life-saving care, dignity, and hope to people caught in crisis.
This aid shipment provides:
This shipment is reaching war-wounded civilians needing trauma care, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids. It is providing hungry children and displaced families with access to food and basic healthcare. And it is empowering the doctors and nurses working in under-resourced, high-risk areas with the tools they need to save lives.
As displaced families wait to return home, every box of food and medical supplies brings hope for a future beyond survival. In crowded camps, where uncertainty has become daily life, this aid is a reminder that help is still coming, and home is still possible.
With each shipment, you are helping restore lives and strengthen communities. The need in Syria is great, but together, we are bringing hope and healing where it’s needed most.
